We are unlike other martial arts associations it is important to us to maintain integrity in our work and our membership. We are open and welcome new members but there is a procedure in becoming a full member. If you don’t wish to become a full member but want to support our work look at submitting donations to help us and we will be happy to help you where we can.
Membership Requirments & Cost
All applications must be accompanied by copies of your last 3 rank advancments at the minimum.
Upon an initial $50 fee for 1 year of trial membership and time for research into the applicants background if you are already a black belt. After the first year the renewal fee is simply $20 per year. Kyu rank students are a flat $20 per year.
Lifetime Memberships
You may apply for a lifetime membership in our organization the cost is $400.00. However if you are a black belt you MAY NOT join initially as a lifetime member this is available only on renewals.
Jun Shibu / Shibu Dojo Members
To be a shibu dojo under our organization you must be a student of ours and not just a member. This means you are teaching our curriculum in your dojo and training with us regularly.
Instructors who are Jun Shibu or Shibu directors may request rank certificates for their students that are members for $15 per kyu grade certificate.
Upon acceptance into the Okinawa Karatedo Seijitsu Shin Do Kan Kyokai you will recent a beautiful 11x17 membership certificate and patch. Contact Us for more details.
Support Our Work By Considering A Donation
Teaching traditional martial arts can be a trying endeavor financially, especially when you are trying to do it fairly and provide a service for your community. Rent and utilities keep coming and frankly raising faster than tuition costs. If you do not want to become a member but appreciate the work we do helping our community and martial arts community please consider making a donation.
We are not a non profit organization so your donation is NOT tax deductible but it helps us keep the lights on and help students stay in class when financially they can’t afford to keep training. WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT!!
